The Elvis Room #1

Originally this area was called The Elvis Room. There was an old wooden stereo hi-fi that still worked left behind by the Smiths. I had some old velvet Elvis portraits and a bunch of album covers I hung everywhere. I would mix drinks and hang-out listening to The King. But now work continues on the renovation. The wall is almost ready to be closed, as I ran a line to the box today. Also you can see the floors need to be finished. The wood in the next room is commonly called Pumpkin Pine. It is a wide board wood found in really old homes. That's orange color is the finished tone. The wood below is oak, with maple in the center. I am renting the sander this Wednesday!! Wish Norm luck!!

OMG, Flix did you have "blackout" drapes to keep out the sun?
Don't forget a t.v. and a pistol to shout out your set, when you don't like what you see!
I love Elvis I understood him so well. I hate when people talk about his fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches, that's fucked up. There was so much more to him than that. I hoipe you keep it you Elvis room, "velevet paintings and all!

Joy, it was a night room. So there was no need for heavy drapes. There was a small amp so I could sing along.

LA, do you mean 240?

I could have sworn it was 220, oh wait, it's 120 and 240 maybe!! What I mean - and obviously I'm way out of my league here - is big honking electrical power. Did Norm do that?

Ffleur, it was built around 1825-1830. Samuel Quincy Adams was President. So it was after the Revolutionary War. (I'll keep feeding you guys info.)

Jane, if I had one of the outfits you know I would've worn it!!

LA, Norm has hooked-up a 240V water heater. The whole topic of 240V is a good one! I will post details soon!!

Norm - Do you mean John Quincy Adams? Samuel Adams made beer but was never president which is a damn shame, I know.

Ffleur, it's sorta both a farmer's house, but in a small village. I think pretty much everybody was a farmer in 1825.

LA, I just posted some pix! Now Norm is gonna have a beer!!
