Norm's World #16
Norm has been a bit slow on the upload lately, and he offers his sincerest apologies. Winter has hit New England with an ice storm last week. It had been a balmy season thus far, with temperatures well above freezing. But the weather changed and many poor plants have suffered. Norm has had several large tree limbs crash down on his property, with one in particular taking out two large ornamental plantings!! More photos coming. Here is a white lilac bush bent from the ice.

Dayum. That is a marvelous photo Norm! You were not kidding about the ice storm. Hopefully the worst of it is over and your property experienced minimal damage. Hook the blogverse up with some more terrific photos, but be safe Norm. And warm!
Another lovely photo, Norm. I always enjoy your nature shots.
I love the look of the ice, but I hate the driving. Very pretty shot.
Great photo . . . and stay warm and dry!
how weird that as i was reading this, it just started raining. it looks like a doozy, i think it might last for at least 15 minutes. i know what you're thinking, poor californians with their moisture issues.
I was just reading what Mishy wrote. I've never driven in ice or snow (although I have lived in it; I moved to CA from Chicago when I was 13).
V, the temps have been below freezing for days now! Norm is trying to stay warm!!
Thanks LA!!
Mish, agreed! Norm thinks ice sucks. Snow is better for driving.
Hey Diane! Norm sometimes thinks about desert life on the real cold days.
Kitty, that's funny. Moisture is what forms arounds Norm's eye when the arctic wind blasts his skinny ass at 25 below zero.
LA, Norm will split a six-pack with you after the next snowstorm and we can go make doughuts at the nearest parking lot. (Mish knows what I am talking about.)
Ffleur, you'r on a roll!! Norm hears you're published!!
Norm: Can we eat doughnuts while doing doughnuts? Because then I'm in!
ffleur - great, creative, plan!
Looks so pretty. I like winter when I can stay inside eating coffee and doughnuts and admiring the view from the window.
i kid you not, our news stations have special artists that are standing by on high alert to create "storm watch" graphics when it even so much as drizzles in southern california. that rain i told you about actually wet the concrete and it stayed moist for at least an hour.
