Would You Drive It? #8

Norm has mixed feelings about the Honda Element. It looks funky. Very boxy and high. It's designed for those younger hipsters that surf, hike, and sleep in their vehicles. Which isn't saying that lifestyle doesn't have it's merits. Norm just prefers a real bed these days.

It's a NYC studio apartment on wheels.

Um, no. I have no reason for a giant vehicle. I'm not even hip enough to be a hipster, let alone one who surfs, hikes or camps in my car. I do like the orange colour, though...

With 2 dogs, the idea of being able to hose out my car has some appeal

It's a very popular car here in So Cal. I actually quite like it, and I prefer it asthetically to the Scion xB which is really boxy.

Mish and Ffleur - Understand the Element is actually pretty small for an SUV. I think it looks bigger in this picture than it actually is.

Now a Suburban... that's big!

I see lots of these around. I think they look a bit goofy.

Mish, it would be great for hauling all that gear to campus!!

Norm thinks Diane could just hose out the back after the dogs go for a ride!!

LA, they seem practical. Although Norm would hope for slightly better gas milage, too.

Ffleur, they're mini SUVs.

Norm agrees with Pru that they're also a little goofy.

Yeah, I like the Element. But I'm totally with you Norm, I was hoping for a little better than 20/25 MPG. But I'm not sure what it's competitors' MPG are. As long as it's relatively high/good MPG, I'd drive it.

Or I'd just drop a Prius engine in it. Lol.
