Norm's World #32

Ahhhhh, old faithful. Norm's embattered gas grill. While visiting some local friends, it became obvious to Norm that he has the oldest grill around. Most of the cool crowd has eleborate, stainless steel models that can cook an entire slab of beef. Norm's model has two modes of operation. On. And off.

How is everybody's summer going?!

Well as long as it does a good job grilling the burgers that's all that matters. What do you care about hipsters for, Norm? You are King Cool and don't you forget it!

Summer is going all right. If the humidity would settle down it would be better.

My summer is going well, thank you. And until recently, I had a grill that looked just like Norm's. It worked fine for me, but the wife (yes, the same one that likes SAAB's) decided to give me a new stainless steel model.

Happy grillin'.

I might have too post a photo of my grill to make Norm feel at home . . . but it cooks up burgers and steaks just fine, so I'm sticking with it for now . . .

does stainless steel not rust? where I live, everything takes a beating from the weather

My summer doesn't seem like summer lately. Its been raining like its October.

No BBQ here in tiny-apt land.

Old or new, who cares! Its how the steaks and burgers taste that really matters.

My summer is going by too fast! Although, (knock on wood) it's been rather nice up here. Not too hot, not too cool. It's just right for this baby bear.

The equipment doesn't matter so much, it's how the chef cooks the meat.

Yes, that was a little dirty ... but only because you all have dirty minds.

In any case, I have a feeling you're a maestro with the grill Norm. So when are we all BBQing at your place again?

And the summer weather has been quite nice here in NorCal. Far more pleasant (cooler) than previous summers.

Hope things are well in your neck of the woods Norm!

Norm, not only do we have this exact same grill, but Pelegrim uses charcoal in it because the gas part stopped working long time ago. He's not only resourceful, but notoriously cheap!!

Pru, your comment made Norm feel good. Thanks!!

Hey Dan!! Norm thinks upgrades are awesome.

Norm would expect nothing less from LA!!

Diane, the stainless grills do better with the bad weather. (Norm still thinks they're overpriced.)

Norm knows what Ffleur is talking about. We get her weather here. About a week later.

Norm is officially giving a goldpass to Mish for all future summer events. BYOB.

V, you're always welcome at Norm's place.

Kook, this grill frightens Norm.
