Imagine that...and Thanksgiving is just around the corner!! You can have a delicious feast and make a little pocket change by selling the other ones off to your neighbors.
Great photo! I agree, your neck of the woods is truly lovely.
We have some wild geese in my neighborhood. They frequent a nice little park nearby. Sometimes one can see 30 or so of them marching along the grass, looking for goodies. It is quite the sight. Though not as spectacular as when they fly off together for the day.
Norm, I thought of this picture while I was on vacation. My mom in a wooded area, so there are always lots of critter spottings when I visit her. I saw a wild turkey, presumably the mama turkey, with 3-4 baby turkeys walking in a line behind her.

Very cool - they seem pretty tame - do people hunt them?
How nice it must be to have such beautiful wildlife so close. I had the same question as Diane regarding hunting.
I like Wild Turkey, but I usually find it in the liquor store and not on my front lawn...
I'm convinced that Norm must live on a nature preserve...
For a second, I thought they were peacocks. What does Stinky think of these birds when they walk by?

You live in a wildlife paradise Norm. I love turkey but couldn't bear to kill these lovelies.
Diane, they're really easily spooked. Norm took the photo from inside his house, and even then they sensed movement. (They're hunted with a bow.)
Dan, it's the best part of living in the sticks. Norm loves the critters.
Mish, when the Wild Turkey is finished, Norm recommends playing spin the bottle.
Norm doesn't think Stinky has ever seen a turkey, LA. But if they smelled like a T-Day drumstick, he might be interested!!
Norm doesn't hunt, Kook. But his neighbor does!!
Thanks, Ffleur. Norm couldn't either. Well, unless he was really, really hungry.

Great post Norm!
Norm always appreciates the prop, V!!

The only type of wild turkey I am fond of is the liquid confidence type. I may be a bit of a Booze Hound as of the past few weeks.
LA, that's cool!! Norm is often reminded of his fellow bloggers as he plods along.
Norm hears ya, Ryan!!
