Norm's World #29
Well Norm was happy to see a family of geese feeding on his lawn today. They don't usually come this close to the house, but it gave Norm a chance to snaps some photos!!
p.s. Cdn geese are in the Canadian Army Reserves. They can enter the USA at will (no passport required) and poop all over your golf courses. Sneaky eh?
How cool it must be to have such wildlife visit Norm? I only get to see opossums, squirrels, and an occassional blue bird. One time I saw a raccoon. That's the best one can expect in urban Orange County, CA - bordering on rural foothills.
Great photos! So the males stay around and help rear the young? We've had lots of birds around lately, including flocks of Pelicans flying over head . . .

These guys are cute in theory, but a major pain in the ass in real life. They're vicious suckers!
Norm agrees. Cute from a distance, but they're not nice. The top photo is the male carefully watching Norm!!
What does Stinky think of those guys on his territory?
Norm has been able to keep Stinky away. He wuldn't have a chance against that male.( Heck, Norm wouldn't have a chance. They're quite mean!)
Look at those fuzzy cute babies!

Ffleur, rumor has it these buggers have been raising heck with some of Norm's neighbors.
Dan, there is everything here. Sometimes Norm feels like the guest.
Diane, the word is Canadian geese mate for life. Norm wishes more humans would do that.
