My sister recently bought the fraternal twin to the Yaris... the Scion Xa (which will be known as the Xd in 2008) (Scions are made by Toyota, btw). It's a fun little car, lots of pick up, very modern. So if you can't afford a Prius, say yes to the Yaris.
I've ridden in one and give it a thumbs up!

Finally we agree on a car. Yes, I would drive this. I loved the look of the Toyota Echo, then they replaced it with this model which is equally cute. But its not all about cuteness, Toyota makes good cars. If I can ever afford a new car, it will probably be this. I like the smallness, economy, quality and yes....cuteness.
I'd have to check on the safety rating first. In the end, since I can't stop talking about MPG, I'd take the Prius over it.
Either that or I'd drop a Prius engine in it.

This is a very cute little car! I like that's its red. Plus, it has a fun name. Yaris. Yaris. Yarrrrrris. Yyyyyaaarrrris. Yaris. It's just fun to say.

a tad too small for my tastes. The bigger the better. But has to been enviromentally conscience.
